The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed about the large amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area website on a daily basis. The service stage developed for intervention experiences a superior inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
